Srinagar, January 17 (KNO) : Anantnag police has arrested two timber smugglers and seized two tractors which were loaded with illegal timber in Mattan area of the district.
Acting on a specific information, a police party of Police Station Mattan led by SHO Mattan seized Two tractors bearing registration numbers JKO3/6779 and JK03F/ 4494 which were loaded with illegal timber at Kehribal Mattan. Two timber smugglers identified as Ramiz Farooq Dar son of Farooq Ahmad Dar resident of Brakpora and Fasil Rashid Dar son of Abdul Rashid Dar resident of Brakpora Anantnag were arrested.
A case FIR number 03/2018 under section 379, 406, 407, 409, 109 and 06 Forest Act was registered in Police Station Mattan and further investigation is going on.(KNO)
